about

This was the first track that was inspired by a ceremonial context. I wrote it one day before my first immersion in ceremonial musicianship. After the ceremony, during which I sang approx 20 songs - and not just my own material - most people asked me about this particular song.

lyrics

Into the light

When in doubt all wells dry up
and leave the dust between your brows
When the night sets in and lays
the silent blanket in your house
Open your third eye, sweet soul
Into the bright light, the road that takes you home

My god tells me there's a pagan
pouring love into his soul
Trust yourself to know that way and
leave the light on when you go
Open your third eye, sweet soul
Into the bright light, the road that takes you home

I sink through the floor
that carries my bones
The deeper I get
I fall into light
Tired eyes close when they open
tired eyes cry from the heart
You my brother are an angel
you my brother have my heart

Open your third eye, sweet soul
your home is where your heart is
Into the bright light, just go, just go
Open your third eye, sweet soul
into the bright light, you are already home

Follow me, follow
follow me, follow

Into the light
Follow me follow
Into the light
Follow me follow
Into the light
